Rome/Venice Private Transfers

Does anyone know of a reliable transfer company from Rome hotel to port, and from port in Venice to hotel, then hotel to venice airport? There are many on the net, but who is dependable?

Hi Az - These Rome companies always get good reviews here:

www.airportshuttle.it

In Venice most hotels are accessible by water taxi from the airport. Expect to pay € 80-100.

[Only hotels in the Piazzale Roma area are directly accessible by road/taxi].

Hope this helps ...

If you know where you are staying, you can always ask the hotel what they recommend.

When we were in Rome, we arranged transportation to the airport through the hotel. I overheard a couple in front of us discussing this with the desk clerk, and the rate the hotel quoted for using their driver (who they obviously knew and trusted) was about 15 euros less that the company that the couple had lined up but had never used.

Thank you Steve. Have you used these limo services and know them first hand?

az, I have used airportshuttle.it on three trips. Great service. When I was there over Christmas, my luggage was lost, so I had to take extra time to go to the next terminal over and report it. They just put me in a later shuttle. They have a desk right there when you come out after getting your luggage.
