I'm afraid I have no information on Hotel Domus Tiberina; have you tried www.tripadvisor.com?
I do have the feeling, though, that you are getting a wee bit desperate about finding something suitable in Trastevere.
You might want to look at the convent of San Francesca Romana:
http://www.sfromana.it/index.htm
Unlike most convents, it has a very late curfew of 2:00 a.m. Rooms all have private baths and air conditioning. There is an elevator. It is probably not luxurious, but I am certain it must be very clean.
It is located on the "other" side of Trastevere, away from the Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, but that is also where the Hotel Domus Tiberina is located.

Yes, you are right! I am getting a wee bit desperate. I did try tripadvisor, no luck. Thanks for the advice. I will look into the convent. Any other neighborhoods you would advise staying in? I want to stay somewhere away from the crowds.

If you want to be away from the crowds, the "other" side of Trastevere is less crowded than the area around Santa Maria in Trastevere.
One suggestion for an area that is definitely not crowded with tourists is Prati, an upper middle-class reidential neighborhood on the far side of the Basilica of San Pietro. It is on the other side of Via Cola di Rienzo, which is a very good but not overpriced shopping street. There are also a few good restaurants there. Grinisa, an extremely knowledgeable poster about Italy and things Italian, has mentioned the Taverna dei Gracchi.
Mind you, finding the hotels in that area will not be easy. I have tried Googling <hotel Prati Rome> and have gone to www.venere.com for Rome and searched by area; on venere, Prati is listed, but I did not find the hotels very inviting. Also, some of them were much farther out than anyone could possibly want. Do you have a map of Rome? If so, I would suggest that you not go outside the area bounded by the Lungotevere, Via Cola di Rienzo, Via Ottaviano and Via Giulio Cesare. There is a Metro at the corner of Ottaviano and Giulio Cesare that will take you to Piazza di Spagna and Piazza Barberini in the center.
You do realize, though, that from these less touristed areas you will have to take either public transportation (there used to be and I am sure still is a bus that went along Via Cola di Rienzo into the historic center) or a taxi to most of the places of interest in the historic centre?

The historical center is an ideal area, it is often quiet in the many pedestrianized areas (and you could still walk across the river to Trastevere).
Here are a few in your budget (courtesy venere.com):
1) Pomezia
2) Hotel Rinascimento
Also, just across the river next to Tiber Island is Hotel Trastevere House which has triples w/ bath for 160 Euro/night.

I think I found something, not in Trastevere but across the river by Campo de' Fiori. It is called The Residenza Farnese....review from NYtimes "has a best-of-both-worlds location: an almost impossibly quiet cranny near the Campo de' Fiori. The 31 rooms are modest in size and simple in décor, which veers toward antique fussiness. All have satellite TV and new, shiny bathrooms. Although there is no restaurant, a free breakfast is served in the quaint downstairs dining room" The best part is that they are offering a promotional rate on the days I will be there. I can't find a direct web-site but it is listed on Venere and a few other 3rd party sites. It hasn't been reviewed on fodors and only once on trip advisor but it gets favorable reviews on venere. It is also mentioned in the travel telegraph. I think I will book it tonight. My trip is getting to close to wait much longer. Either way I will be in Rome and it will be beautiful!! Thanks again!!

klpizzo,
I don't know what you're looking for, but we are going in June and narrowed it down to Hotel Teatro De Pompeo or Hotel Due Torri - both in Pantheon neighborhood. Very small hotels, very nice on emails, and good reviews all around. Teatro quoted me 180€ and Due Torri quoted me 190€ per night. Since we need 2 rooms and it is so expensive we are going to rent an apartment. I am sort of sad about not staying in one of these places though, as I love very small hotels!

The Residenza Farnese is a beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. I hope you get that special rate, the Residenza Farnese is not a budget hotel. There is a bakery on the west end of Campo' Dei Fiori, right on the Piazza, that is world class and about two blocks from Residenza Farnese. I suggest you go there every morning for pastries and coffee (and breads). Good luck.
