Hi,<BR>What bus or tram would I take to get from Via sant’agata dei goti 10 to Trastevere<BR>thank you

Your street is located between two major roads, Via Nazionale and Via Cavour. Each have several bus lines running down them and you are a short walk from both the Cavour and Colosseo Metro Stops. You can take the Metro to Pirimade, walk up Via Marmorata, cross the Tiber and you are in Trastevere. It's not a long walk. Or, take a bus to Largo Argentina and trasfer to a bus going to Trastevere. I can't help you with bus numbers. They change very frequently and my Roma MetroBus map is about two years old. You can pick one up in Rome.

I can help with the Bus number! Stayed in Trastevere a month ago! Bus H is going to Trastevere, but unfortunately not stopping at Largo Argentina. There is another bus to Trastevere - cannot remember its number now - it is marked Piazza Venezia when you go from Trastevere. But if you go to Largo Argentino - and there is a lot of buses going there - you can take the tram to Trastevere - just get onto the one heading towards the river, and you cannot miss Trastevere! And just ask - people are so helpful! You just ask Trastevere and they will take you to the right place!

From Via Nazionale the 40, 64 &amp; 70 go to Largo Argentina. From there Tram 8 crosses the Tiber at Ponte Garibaldi. <BR> I didn't take this bus that far but the 170 also from Via Nazionale crosses at Ponte Testaccio. Regards, Walter

OK, how about bus directions from Termini to P. Farnese?

Look for a bus that goes to Largo Argentina (the majority will) and you can get off there and walk a couple of blocks to Piazza Farnese. If you have difficulty walking, you can find a bus at Largo Argentina that will go down the Via Arenula and then into Trastevere. Just get off before you cross the river and then walk over to the Piazza. If you can find a bus at Termini that has &quot;Largo Argentina, Arenula, Trastevere&quot; on the sign that lists stops, you won't need to change.

Hmm, pickpocket express you say. Sweet. We will have our bags with us at this point, heading to hotel after transatlantic flight. But, I assume public buses are pretty safe, just as in NYC in busy areas? How much would you guess a taxi would be from Termini to P. Farnese?

I went from the train station to St. Peter's last month early in the AM with no bags for 7.50e.<BR> I'd figure ~10e max with the luggage surcharge and slower traffic.<BR> You're coming in by the Airport Train? and you are a &quot;we&quot; (2?) so that's 17.6e plus the taxi ~10e. If it's not an off-peak time or a Sunday or holiday for another 15e you can have a car &amp; driver meet you are Arrivals and take you straight to the hotel! Regards, Walter

We took a Taxi from Termini to Trastevere last month - 2 of us with 2 large suitcases, and 2 small ones, and payed 15 Euros. Do not be tempted to take the train to Trastevere station from the airport and think Taxi will be cheaper, because it's closer - the Taxi's at Trastevere station rip you off!

Hi traveller 212, If you are coming into FCO, there is a direct train (every 1/2 hour I think) to the Tras area. Hope this helps. klansing
