ROME TOURS
 

I am considering booking a tour or two with a company called Angel Tours. Has anyone used or heard anything about them? If not, can you recommend a good tour company in Rome? I would like a good walking tour for adults and children(16, 12 yrs). I have tried to contact Bobs Tour Company but could get no response.

Go to your e-mail provider and send a message ASAP to Francesca Caruso at [email protected]. She is a wonderful tour guide who I think would be great with your children. She charges 40 Euro/hour for the entire group. Our group of 10 toured the Colosseum, Forum and Pantheon with her in April and found her to be outstanding.

Thanks Betsy, she sounds wonderful...how many hours did you need to feel that you saw what you wanted to see?

If I recall correctly, we toured for more than three hours, but she only charged us for three. I wish we had toured the Vatican Museums and St. Peters with her also. By the way, I'm not related to Francesca in any way.

Based on a Fodor's forum recomendation, we jused Francesca for a tour of the Vatican last September. It was the highlight of our trip. She is a bright, articulate and attractive woman who speaks flawless English. My wife and I enjoyed the time with her more than any other on our trip. It is money well spent, and she was a delight to spend several hours with. She even gave us her cell phone number and told us to call her for anything while we were in Rome, and further she told us that we would "Always have a friend in Rome!".
