How many total days do you have? What are you interested in?

If you're only spending two days in Florence I'd ask why go? Put the days towards cities you're really interested in.

That's a lot of train time for just one night in the CT. But it's your trip... You'd probably have a couple more hours to wander around if you went to the CT after Florence, rather than before. The train ride from Rome to, say, Vernazza is 4.5 hours. From Florence it's "only" 3 hours.

Depending on what you want to see/do in Florence, try not to make your days there include Sunday or Monday. Many of the most popular sights are not open every Sunday or Monday.

When are you planning to visit? What train schedules are you consulting?

It would be helpful to give us some idea of why you are interested in these places and what your interests are. It's hard to figure out how to offer suggestions when all you offer is this Twitter-like shorthand.

Consider doing CT as day trip from Florence and save a lot of hassle. For train info check Acquista il biglietto con le nostre offerte - Trenitalia and www.italotreno.com, Book early to score discounted tickets.

I'd really ditch CT for one day - can be so so crowded in summer anyway.

I would skip the CT with the time you have as you really have less than adequate time for Rome with three full days and 1-2 full days for Florence
