Rome/Venice - train www.trenitalia.com
Venice/Paris - train of fly one of the European budget airlines. www.whichbudget.com Paris/Asmterdam - train http://www.thalys.com/be/en/ Do your cities have to be in this order? |
I am flying into Rome and out of Paris...
|
Hi nalas, if you are flying home from Paris then don't you want to go from Rome to Venice, Venice to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Paris?
|
Fly to Amsterdam from Venice so you don't waste time backtracking.
|
We're doing the exact opposite, flying into Paris and out of Rome. We're taking the Thalys from Paris - Amsterdam, then the CityNightLine from Amsterdam to Zurich, Train to Venice, Eurostar to Rome.
I guess it would be best for you to take the train from Rome - Venice, fly to Amsterdam like someone suggested and then take the train to Paris. That way, you save time and don't backtrack. |
Hi N,
Check out www.myair.com for flights from Venice Marco Polo to Paris Orly. This is the most convenient flight. ((I)) |
It never occured to me that I would be backtracking... Ok, so I will fly from Venice to Amsterdam, then fly to Paris, or take the train? Do you think its worth it to go to Amsterdam for just 2 days? Thanks for everything

Hi Nalas,
It doesn't make much sense to fly from Amsterdam to Paris when the train journey takes roughly around four hours. I think it would be best if you train that sector. About whether its worth going to Amsterdam, I can't really say considering I'll be in Amsterdam for the first time in September. Maybe someone else can guide you. We will also be there for around 2 and 1/2 days. From what I know, its a small city, and you'll definitely be able to cover most of it in two days. |
