Rome to Capri

Flying into Rome and need to take public transport to Capri. What is the best way? Maybe rail from Rome to Naples and then Ferry to Capri??

Yup.

CasaDelCipresso Jul 23rd, 2007 09:47 AM

that would work. also a bus from Rome airport (I think - I always drive down) direct to Sorrento and you could also take the ferry from there.

CasaDelCipresso, Thanks for the bus suggestion. Do you know how long the bus ride is between Rome and Sorrento?

Hi Ako/ CasaDC - There is no direct bus from Rome airport.

Train to Naples (- via Roma Termini) - then hydrofoil from Naples (- Molo Beverello) to Capri will be quicker/ more convenient.

Trains leave Rome FCO airport for Roma Termini every half hour.

For timetables/fares FCO-Naples see:
www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html

For hydrofoil/ferry timetables/fares to Capri see:

Hope this helps ...

Steve

P.S The Rome-Sorrento bus service runs only once/twice daily and takes 4 hrs.
