Rome sites closed on Sunday?

Hi, we're following a 2 day guide for Rome and now I'm wondering if things are closed on Sunday??

Hi Mom - I don't think any of the 'sites' are closed on Sundays. (A few are closed on Mondays ...)

You can find details of opening hours on:

http://www.beniculturali.it/

Hope this helps ...

The Vatican Museum is closed on Sundays "except for the last Sunday of each month, unless it falls at Easter, on June 29 (St. Peter and Paul), or on December 25 and 26 (Christmas Holiday)".

And on those Sundays they are open, the place is mega crowded because there is free admission. Lots of local families turn up to take advantage of it, as well as tourists.
