Rome's Residenza San Pantaleo
Hey Guys:
I'm begging again. Lost the opportunity to stay at Franterna Domus so we have to look elsewhere.
I tentatively booked lodging at Residenza San Pantaleo for 130E per night.
What do you think? Is this an okay area.
They also offer shuttle for 50E from the airport. Is this a good offer.
We are not going until mid-September for three nights, but this is proving to be a challenge, as I have quickly found out that September is high season for all of Europe!
Will wait on reply.
Thanks

We stayed at the San Pantaleo a few years ago. The location is nearly perfect - in the oldest part of Rome with lots of winding streets and interesting tratorias and shops. The hotel itself is fairly basic - some of the rooms are huge, some are tiny. The hotel is actually part of a large, well kept apartment building, and there is a bus stop right in front of the building. The person who runs the hotel is not overly communicative and doesn't speak much English.

Location, location, location. I stayed here a few years ago. Unfortunately it looks like the price has gone up :'(
The manager is a little quirky, but overall I would not hesitate to stay there again.
