There is another good restaurant Da Giggetto in the old Jewish ghetto section of the city, on Via Portico d'Ottavia 21 (right next to the Portico ruins). It is well known for traditional Roman specialties like fried artichokes

I suggest Anima Sapori right off of Piazza Navona. Absolutely wonderful and not pricey at all! I ended up eating there most of my trip because I fell in love with the staff, the food and the prices. Email me if you want the street name and I can look it up on my map for you.

If Dayle is suggesting Settimio all'Arancio - then it is an excellent choice.
Great grilled meats and pastas. Da Francesco around Piazza Navona for a Roman trattoria cannot be beat. Simple, fresh, local, seasonal Roman food. Buon appetito! |
