Rome question: airport/port transfer to hotel

Does anyone feel like they can recommend a reliable shuttle company for transfer between the port and/or airport to one's hotel in Rome?

I have had recommendations for these 2:

Eldcar (through ICON tours)
Rome Shuttle Limosine (seen it mentioned on this forum)

thanks!
dina

We have something booked through our hotel. I say just call or email them and find out whats cheaper..all theyre doing is picking you up and taking you to your hotel.

dina4,

Have a look here for some recommendations;

I am currently in the process of booking with Rome Shuttle Limousine & they've quoted me 35 euro for 3 people to travel from Ciampino airport to our apartment in the Jewish Ghetto area of Rome.

Eldcar may have it together now, but they no showed us at FCO last summer. I called their "office" number while standing in FCO's meeting area and it was a hotel, Airport Marriott I think, who had never heard of them. I walked outside looking for their van and recalled the number. A different person gave the same response. Eldcar did not call my Italian cell phone although the had the number until about 4 days later. Thet wanted to know where we had been, as their driver waited

I called their "office" number while standing in FCO's meeting area and it was a hotel, Airport Marriott I think, who had never heard of them. I walked outside looking for their van and recalled the number. A different person gave the same response, and evev asked other hotel employees. Eldcar did not call my Italian cell phone, although the had the number, until about 4 days later. Thet wanted to know where we had been, as their driver "waited and waited" for us. Since we had looked at every driver's sign and spoken with many of them asking about Eldcar, and searched all the vans outside, I don't think so!

I used Stefano of Rome Cabs last spring. He was very prompt, gave us his cell phone number in case we needed it on arrival, and even gave us a mini-tour on the way to our rented apartment.

Jim,
We've been very pleased with RomeShuttleLimousine, both with pricing and level of service.

You'll have a wonderful trip--the ghetto is perfectly located and so interesting in itself. We enjoyed our apartment there more than anywhere else we've stayed in Rome. Making me long to get back...

We used Limo Service Rome and were very pleased at the price of $39 1 way several years ago.

A better way of doing it is to hop the train which is located right at the airport and it takes you directly to the train station in the heart of Rome. From there you can take a cab to your hotel. A lot cheaper.

We stayed at www.hotelduetorri.com from the recommdations on this post and were very pleased. A great location.

Rome Shuttle Limousine at 35 euro for upto 4 persons. Perfect service, in time, with a private car.

Really? Maybe for one person, but 2 or more and if the hotel is more than a couple of blocks from Termini, then the 35 euro for the car servicee will probably be cheaper -- and certainly more convenient!!!
