Rome Metrebus ticket
I found an old unused 1-day Metrebus ticket from my last trip in 2009. Will it still be usable when I go back this fall, or do they expire?
Also, I've read conflicting info on various websites on the duration of the 1-day pass-- one source says it's for 24 hours while another says it's only good until midnight. Which is correct? |
Unlikely. The normal practice is when a new fare is introduced, you get a refund on unused ticket at a ticket office or part-exchange it for a new ticket.

Day ticket - BIG - is valid till midnight on the day you validate it.

I would be surprised since prices have gone up since then (was 1€ and is now 1.50€). The transport website is ATAC so that should be your only source for accurate information. The 1 day ticket is good until midnight. Perhaps someone thought since they list midnight as 24:00 it meant 24 hours or something.
http://www.atac.roma.it/page.asp?p=229&i=14 The Rome tickets are only good until the stops listed in red. http://www.atac.roma.it/files/doc.asp?r=4 |
They are definitely not valid anymore as the fare went up, there was a couple of months period where you could still use them but long over now.

Thanks.
