Rome itinerary - italy

I will be in Rome from mon- wed. Leaving early Thursday morning. We will fly into Rome on Monday morning at 9 am so I'm guessing that we won't be ready to explore until at least 12:00-13:00. I have an itinerary worked up, but have no idea if it is feasible. We are staying in trastevere at an apartment right by the river. Any help or advise would be appreciated:

Monday:
-Ancient Rome with late lunch at bottega del cafe. And dinner at Armando.
-Spanish steps
-Trevi Fountain
(we are hoping it will be close to dark for the Spanish steps and fountain)

Tuesday:
-Vatican museums and st. Peter's (we are pre-purchasing tickets)
-castel sant'angelo
-piazza navona (gelato at giolitti)
-campo di fiore (maybe move this to Wednesday?)
-craftsmens streets
-via giuilia (lunch at roscioli?)
-piazza mattei (drinks at bartaruga)
-isla tiberina
-bocca Della verita
-volpetti for snacks
-via dei fienaroli
-piazza & basilica Santa Maria
-via Della scala to viadel Moro
-panificio la renella or ombré roses for dinner
Janiculum hill

Wednesday
-crypt of the capuchin monks
-galleria borghese
-villa borghese
-via appia antica
-Free roam/shopping/etc

Should I move either the Jewish ghetto or trastevere activities to wednesday? Is Tuesday too busy? Any other suggestions for food on Wednesday? Is this a feasible schedule? Any help is appreciated..

It will take you 2 full days to cover just what you have listed for Tuesday. Also - Monday really isn;t doable either.

Have a look at the Michelin green guide for Rome - it will tell you how many hours you need for each of the major sights. So unless you plan on doing the whole trip at the trot - never stopping except to eat - there is no way to cover all this.

Also - you need advance tickets for the Borghese (with time specified) and probably should have advance tickets for the Vatican Museum as well.

Agree. This is impossible, even if you eliminate all the food/snack/drink stops.

Thank you. I am clueless. I have been using the frommers guide, but I will look into getting the Michelen guide instead. I will split Tuesdays schedule and add someto Wednesday. We will be buying all museum tickets before flying to Italy. We aren't going until October, so hopefully I can narrow this down by then.
