Rome Hotel residence Barberini

Know anything about the Hotel residence Barberini on Via Dele Quattro Fontaine in Rome? It is different from the Hotel Barberini at a different address.

My family stayed there in 2003. It was very comfortable, except the sofabed in the living room was not, but they were able to bring in a rollaway for my daughter at no extra charge. The breakfast was definitely not worth what they charge (ours was included in our rate). Each room had a computer in it and using the Internet was very cheap. Bathroom was modern, large, and clean. Nice to have all the space of a two-room suite. Staff was very nice. A/C was not cooling properly in our first room, so they let us see two more and choose which one we wanted, so we actually saw three of the rooms. (A/C worked fine in the other room, by the way.) What else would you like to know?

Thanks so much. Where is the hotel located? We will have our two teenage children with us. Is the hotel in walking distance of the tourist attractions, restaurants and shopping? Any other information you can provide would be helpful.

This hotel is very close to Piazza Barberini, and so therefore it's very easy to take Metro Line A to the Vatican. It would be about 10 minutes from the Spanish Steps, 10 minutes from Trevi, 20-25 from the Pantheon, 25-30 from Piazza Navona. It's right at the bottom of the Via Veneto. You could walk up the Via Veneto to Borghese in 20 minutes.

I stayed about 100 feet away at Hotel Julia, and I think this is an excellent location in Rome.

Just in case I wasn't clear, all the above times, except the Vatican, are for walking and are estimates only. You can use mappy.com and select Pedestrian to get some ideas of distances in Rome on foot.
