Rome Hotel help/recommendations
Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a nice Hotel in Rome for 3 nights possibly near the Spanish steps. We would like to keep it within 150-250 Euros. Thanks for your help. Fran |

We stayed maybe 8-10 block walk from the Spanish Steps at
Hotel Montecitorio Address: Via delle Convertite 5, Roma, Italy, 00187 Breakfast brought to the room early - nice and clean, convenient location to everything. |
Why not the Spanish Steps? We sometimes prefer that area, depending on what we are in the mood for.
The San Carlo is a popular option in that area. We are renting an apartment for four nights, on via Gesu e Maria. I am looking forward to staying in the area. I love the Pincio, so that's just one attraction. There are good Metro connections from Spagna and Flaminio, making the Colesseum and Vatican accessible, and passegiata on the Corso is fun. It's not hard to walk to Navona and Pantheon areas, and the National Museums of Rome are also nearby. I am planning on doing some gawking at expensive fashions, too. We have stayed in many locations in the center of Rome. All of them meet different needs for different times or types of trips. |
I can't offer specific hotels, but as far as getting good rates, do try venere.com -- I've been trolling Rome hotels and apartments for weeks now and they offer some very competitive rates.
We're doing an apartment, also -- but there are so many to choose from and the rates are very good - spoiled for choice! |
