Rome Hotel
We are two, visiting Rome for the first time for 4 nights in early June 2009. We would like hotel with air-conditioning in a part of the city where we can walk to major sites and feel safe at night. Dinning and shopping Can you recommend something in the $150 - $250 per night price range? Thanks!!!

Hi
What about the Hotel Navona - http://www.hotelnavona.com. Great location. A Superior double is quoted at 170 euro. Good reviews on Trip Advisor - http://www.tripadvisor.com/Search?q=...;sub-search=Go. Happy travels. |
We are going back to Rome in late May. When we were there before, we stayed at the La Residenza. We just booked it for our current trip 170 euros per night. It is convenient location, near Trevi fountain, Spanish steps and a nice basic hotel.

I always stay at La Residenza and find it to be most pleasant. Everything about the hotel is good --location, furnishings, breakfast, staff, even some parking on site if you have a car. Good luck.

We enjoyed Residenza Antica Roma near P.Barberini / Trevi...
180€ in high season, with A/C and a nice breakfast. We walked back from the Coliseum and P.Navona, also used the buses. http://www.residenza-anticaroma.com/ |
Consider renting an apartment in the Navona or Campo di Fiore areas. We'll be in Rome for 5 nights in September and are renting an apt. You should be able to rent an apt to fit your budget and fill your requirement for walking to major sites.
If interested go to slowtrav.com and check out the many apt recommendations. |
