Rome Hotel
Can anybody recommend a nice hotel with a decent size room and decent cost? Some of the hotels I have stayed at in Europe are smaller than prison cells!
Thanks |
Just returned from Rome and stayed at the Mecenate Palace Hotel. www.mecenatepalace.com Rooms weren't huge but were adequate, and bathrooms were very very large with marble, glass showers, and all ameneties. I paid 150 euros through their web site. Staff was excellent and helpful in every way. Rate included breakfast from a lovely rooftop terrace with views of the whole city.

Any ideas on a big room? We can't stay in a prison cell type of room. We need the space! Thanks

I'm curious, why do you need so much space? And also, that is very subjective, what I think is a spacious room might be small to you since you seem so determined that it has to be large. What size room do you consider large?

I think also you will need to list what your idea of a "decent price" is. Is it for a double, triple, quad? There are so many postings on here for Rome hotels but with out giving more detail other than a decent size room and price it will be hard for others to help.
I think travelchick gave a very helpful recommendation with a website included to look at rooms & prices. |
Bertaron, if it is a big room you are after, the Hotel Alessandrino, behind St Peters, is the hotel for you. We (my wife and I and our son) stayed there last month and the room was by far the largest we stayed in during our 7 week trip to Europe.
We stayed 2 nights and had a single room for our son and a double room for ourselves the first night and a triple room the second night. Thr triple room was actually the same size as the double room, with an extra bed added. Even with the 3 of us in a triple room, there was a ton of space. The price for a double is 160 euro until 15 November and 120 euro from 16 November until 21 December. The hotel is only 2 years old and I can highly recommend it. Best wishes. Lonhro |
