Rome Fiumicino Aiport

Hello,

Please advise me on travel from Rome Fiumicino Airport (international arrival at 7:50am Sunday) to central Rome.

I would like to know distance, which I believe is approximately 16 miles, best method, travel time, and any general advice.

I want to take either a taxi, car, or similar private service. I do not want a train or bus.

Thank you for the input and suggestions!!

Hi Cara - These limo companies get good reviews here:

www.airportshuttle.it

Travel time depends on time of day but is normally about 30 mins.

Hope this helps ...

Steve

Check with your hotel, they may be able to reserve a shuttle for you at a discount. The hotel I stayed in last year did that, it was 12 euro for the shuttle if they made the arrangements. It was over 30 euro when I did it alone. The arrangements must be made at least 24 hours in advance from what I recall. I do not know the distance but I think it was around 30 minutes. There were 2 people dropped off before me.

Hi Car,

A cab will take you into Rome for about 50E.

For two people, Context Rome charges E55 for meeting you at the gate and transporting you to your hotel. www.contextrome.com

Rome Cabs in another option. Stefano is wonderful and even gives you a little mini-tour on the way to your accomodations.
