Rome--Festa di Noantri
 

Does anyone know the dates for this year? I was thinking of staying in Trastevere in July. Is the festival one day or two weeks? I'm reading conflicting things. Is it a positive or a negative to be staying in that neighborhood during the festival?

The festa runs a week and usually begins the weekend closest to the Feast of Our Lady of Carmine which is July 16. Since that is a Monday this year, I'm not sure if it will start the 13/14 or 20/21 but it seems to take place later in the month. We go to Rome just about every July during the last two weeks and always run in to it. The streets of Trastevere do get a bit crowded and noisy in the evenings but not so much that I would change my plans to stay there.

I've read about the Festa de Noantri in several sites and still in doubt: it begins or ends with the procession of the statue of Madallena, which I understood will be in July 21?
Does anybody know that?

My last day in Rome will be on July 19. Do...do you think I can see anything of this celebration?

The organization sent me the following message:

"ad oggi le notizie sulla Festa de Noantri ci dicono che si svolgerà da domenica 15 lunedì 23 luglio (domenica 22 chiusura festa civile con fuochi d'artificio)."
