I will arrive in Rome by train, I am staying at the Aberdeen Hotel, Via Firenze 48, can I walk from Termini to my hotel, which route should I take? Is it safe to walk it the area? How long will it take to walk?

Thanks in advance.

If you will go to Google Maps, put in the address you'll see how to get there. It is fairly close and an easy walk. The area is safe, as any train station area will be. It might take you 10-15 minutes to walk.

A google map can give you exact walking directions. It says 10 minutes and that it's .9 kilometers. Also, it warns about lack of walkways.

Oh, I'm just seeing dayeesl's exact advice. If you can't get the google map, please send your email and I'll send it to you.

I think you'd be fine in the day time but the lack of walkways could be problematic at night.

To avoid crowds I would walk 1 block down Via Cavour, take 1st right on Via G. Amendola, end of street turn left on Via Viminale and then ~3 blocks down take right on Via Firenze just after the Opera House.

Definitely sidewalks all the way to the Opera House and I'm 99% certain sidewalks on Via Firenze.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel about 10 years ago, walking from Termini.

We were with her parents at that time, in their late 70s. They had no problem with the walking.

Be patient and watchful on the crossings,

best wishes
