Rome Bus Times & Durations
Hello everyone...
(Repost with better Message Title)
Less than four weeks till we go to Rome.
On the ATAC site, they have great maps, all the departure times from the beginning stop of each bus line, and a great route calculator showing HOW do get from one place to another.
However, I cannot find estimated times between stops along the way. This makes it hard for me to estimate how long the trip will take (and, consequently when I should get on).
Does anyone know whether that information is on the ATAC site?
For instance, I want to catch bus 70 at Torre Argentina and arrive at Termini (actually Turati/Fanti stop) at about 8:30 a.m. I need to know when the appropriate bus 70 stops at Argentina.
Thanks.

good luck! the only thing I know about the bus's in Rome is that sooner or later they do stop by. You can get ball park times of arrival or pickup but as in all things Rome it happens when it happens. That said I would say generally speaking its 10-20min depending on traffic.

Some of the bus stops in Rome have gone automated in their signage which flashes on how long it is to the next number bus which sure beats hoping that"it will come soon". The buses are pretty frequent down by Argentina and I would think at that time in the morning-no more than 10/20 minutes but more like 10.

Hi
My wife and I used the bus quite a bit in Rome but we never saw any time schedules as far as I can remember. It was just a matter of hanging out at a bus stop until the bus arrived Maybe you can find some useful info in my Rome trip report: http://gardkarlsen.com/rome_italy.htm . Have a great trip

Thanks all, but my problem is figuring out how long the trip takes from Argentina to Termini, not how often the buses come (that info is available at the ATAC site).
This is a Saturday morning, so it's not rush hour.

Romanita...
Wow...thanks...I didn't notice that bus on the map. Only stops about 3 times between Argetina and Termini and comes every 5-8 minutes!!
Now, if I could only estimate the duration - would 20 min be more than sufficient. The buses move slowly from Argentina to Venezia as I recall, but maybe not without the extra stops...and maybe not Saturday morning around 8 a.m.
