ROME, best Cafes to soak up Roma
 

What are your favorite cafes to soak up the atmosphere in Roma ? Including coffe bars, vino bars, gelaterias, or other relaxing places.<BR>HOWEVER, one caveat, in December, where outdoor lounging will probably be limited by weather. Unless they serve good hot chocolate, which some probably do. Thanks !

Definitely Tre Scalini on the Piazza Navona.

We passed Cafe Rosati on Piazza del Poppolo. It's a well-known place but I personally feel that Piazza Navona is much nicer especially for atmosphere. Piazza del Poppolo is huge but to me not as nice as Piazza Navona. So Tre Scalini should be better.

The Pantheon piazza is a great spot to soak up atosphere. Can't remember names of cafes, but we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing over a long lunch there. Tre Scalini was a great spot as well...the waiters were so friendly as well.
