ROME B&B's

does anyone know of any B&B's in Rome that they would recommend... less expensive is better for me.

Why do you keep posting the same question? You have 3 posts with the same questions.

I went through this whole thing recently, edged our budget up to USD 100 a night but best I came up with was a small B&B where even the promotional photos looked absolutely terrible and that was I think about USD 100, so we gave up the idea totally.

The Nicholas Inn is rated number one bed and breakfast in Rome on www.tripadvisor.com. We have it booked in May for 120. Euros per night, double room with breakfast. So far all our contact with the proprietors has been very postive. I didn't have much luck finding any other accomodation in Rome for less although I did not try the bed and breakfasts in private homes or the convents.

It is helpful when you post your price range rather than "less expensive is better".

For instance, recently someone was seeking a $30USD hotel room in Rome (which was an impossibility judging by the responses he received).

Oops, that was James I was referring to... who already responded to your post, I see.

Yes that was me, felt sorry I ever asked!

Try the Daphne Veneto www.daphne-rome.com (No. 2 on tripadvisor.com B&Bs). We spent 4 nites there in March and were extremely pleased.

Hi JamesA, don't be sorry you asked! If one does not know, one does not know. Europe has gotten so expensive compared to years ago. The change to the Euro and also inflation. Everyone I know is trying to find a least expensive way to go to Europe, even those with good incomes. I sure hope you are able to travel to Italy at some point. Best wishes.

I've just returned from 3 nights in Banchi Vecchi in Rome. Lovely Bed & Breakfast and at weekends they bring you breakfast at your room. I just loved that :-) (although nothing special the breakfast itself)
I just wouldn't call cheap 140€ per night.

I also second The Red Rose (www.babredrose.com). Have stayed there before and will be there again in about a week. Inexpensive, decent location and friendly and clean. 82 Euros for a double with bath en suite. 62 Euros for a double with shared bath.

One place you could try is Les Artes - it's not 100 dollars, but I do think it makes the 100 Euro cut :)

Anyway it's a brand new hotel by the termini station. Clean, all modern amenities, etc.
