Rome Apts./ Please help
This is only my second post; no replies to the first yet.
My son and I will be in Rome for 3 nights- thinking of renting an apt. Any advice? This is our first trip to Europe. Thanks, LSS1 |
Hello LSS1, and welcome to Fodor's. We're so happy to have you :)
It is very difficult to recommend a particular apartment when you give no indication of your budget. There are many apartments from which to choose, but are you looking for budget, luxury, or somewhere in between? And did you have a particular part of the city in mind? Did you know you can search this forum for help? In the Search This Form box at the top, just type in words such as "Rome apartments" and you'll see all sorts of queries similar to yours. For a start, though, here are a couple agencies that seem to come up quite often: venere.com romeby.com sleepinitaly.com homelidays.com slowtrav.com has great reviews as well Good luck, and happy travels! |
We booked our apartment in rome with www.romepower.com they have great service...havent stayed yet..we are going in Sept.

Thanks for your reponses! I guess my budget is mid-range. I don't know enough about the areas, but from what I have been reading Travestere sounds nice. No need for night life, but I would like to walk to markets, cafes, etc.

Realrome.com is another rental agency with very positive reviews on this and other travel forums. The owner is very good to deal with and the apartments are less expensive than those listed with many other agencies. We stayed in one of the Realrome apartments in the ghetto area in late February/early March.
Trastevere is a good area for a rental. You can also search for Trastevere to get lots of information on options there. |
My husband and I rented this apt in Rome for a week.
http://www.sleepinitaly.com/files/ap...dipiet%E0.html It is 160 euro a night but is in a great location and the place is quite large. Let me know if you have any questions about it. |
