Rome apartments - Sleep in Italy rentals

Has anyone had a recent experience with renting from Sleep in Italy? I can't seem to find any recent feedback on them. Looking for apartment(s) to accommodate 16 in June 2013.

Thanks!

We haven't actually stayed in our apartment yet, but we have put a deposit on an apartment for next June using Sleep in Italy. All of the communication with them has been very prompt and our questions have been answered very quickly and thoroughly. I did also email one of the people who had previously stayed in the apartment we are renting to ask them about their stay and they had nothing but positive comments. I'm hoping the apartment itself is as good as the actual booking experience!

Hi, I'm in our 'sleep in italy' apartment right now. They have been very professional so far. We had a terrible trip in from the airport which our rep seemed to take in stride.

The apartment is 'good' not great, only because I like things uber clean I think, nothing their fault. The location is super fantastic, the company responive so far - we check out tomoorrow so I'll post an after 'check out' review then if that'd help. Rented many vacation properties over the years and alwalys have been happy to put a damage deposit down. And never had any dispute, some things here could use updating/repair but hey for the locale it's super.

Hi, checked out of apartment in Trastevere without any difficulties, the rep was punctual and professional as in previous dealings. I wouldn't hesitate to book with this company again.

We arrived on a Sunday and last night was our only 'weekend' night there. Turned into a crazy party central type place, so different from the rest of the week. In Paris tonight the city seems entirely quiet by comparison - but I love them both.

We stayed in an apartment with them this summer - no problems whatsoever.

With 16 people you are going to need two or three apartments - obviously depending on the relationships and the bed/bedroom configurations you need. Perhaps you can get them in the same or nearby buildings.

We rented for 5 ppl in April 2011. We called when we landed, we were met by a local woman with the key. She showed me the apartment and I paid her. She lived I the building so she was available if we needed anything (we didn't). The location was great as was the apartment. When we go back to Italy, I will look at Sleep In Italy first.

They have been just fine for us. No glitches. There was a time about 6-8 years ago when they were kind of flaky but they have cleaned up their act and are quite satisfactory now. I think the management has changed.

We have a family of four possibly traveling May 2013. I am looking at some of their apartments. There is one in the Piazza Popolo. Have any of you stayed at this 2 bedroom property? Also, would this be a good location for sightseeing?

PS...the apartment is just next to the palazzo doria..take a look at N.10 on the map and it will give you an idea about the location.

Thanks kismetchimera! I appreciate the link! I am not familiar with where the good neighborhoods to stay in yet. I have done some reading, but not enough!

This is a trip I am looking forward to planning. DDs are getting older (20 and 19) when we would go. I think this may be the last trip the four of us will get to take as our little family. Life is getting busy and so I want at least one more trip with just us! So, I thought of Italy and how it would have something for everyone! Will bookmark this apt to check out more thoroughly! Thanks!

Can anyone tell me about the Campo dei Fiori area? We have reserved an apt on via Cappellari (on sleepinitaly website).

We rented in May from them, and we were very happy. There were a couple of things that could have been better, but overall, no major issue. We would rent from them again without hesitation. Click on my name for a review, but I think I added to an existing one already on Fodor's.
