Rome Apartments again. Help :)
Vicolo del Governo Vecchio in Navona Area?
Via Bergamo or Via Laurina in Spanish Steps Area?
These are our new choices...running short on time as I am trying to help Aussie relatives and we are in different times zones.
If anyone knows these areas and which would be best (non-shoppers looking for scenic and fun area).
Thanks!

I agree. We stayed on Governo Vecchio last year. Wonderful quaint area with small shops, grocer, cafes. Walk one way & go to Vatican; cross street to Campo dei Fiori; few steps to Piazza Navona. Also good location for public buses; but no metro stop.
Have fun, Julie

Governo Vecchio is an ideal location to explore Rome - a block away from Piazza Navona, and just a couple more in either direction to Campo di Fiore or the Patheon. Close enough to walk to Vatican, the Ghetto, even the Coliseum. Very atmospheric. And if you're staying in an apartment, it has a little market where you can buy food supplies.
