Rome Apartment Review (Trastevere)
Has anyone stayed in this Trastevere apartment. I searched in SlowTrav and did not find anything
http://www.sleepinitaly.com/appartam.php?id_appartam=55 Is the location safe? Is the apartment OK? |
From the photos, it certainly looks lovely. We stayed in Trastevere in October 2006 and loved the area. The only thing that concerns me is that the link doesn't provide an address (or at least, I can't find one.) Certain parts of Trastevere can be pretty noisy/traffic-y.

I agree with Lucie. Trastevere can be a great location but you need to know the address. Besides having some less than desirable areas, some areas of Trastevere can be pretty far out from the center.

If you look on the map provided you can see the exact location. It is a good location if you like to walk.I always recommend that folks stay near the campo di Fiore since it is very central but from here it is an easy 15 minute walk. I know that street quite well and it looks far enough off the lungotevere (which is very busy) so that it is not too loud and the price looks nice. There is a great bakery down Via della Luce - no sign - the real deal. Must check it out.
Enjoy! |
petunia, I just looked at the map more carefully, & you're correct. I hadn't noticed that it had zoom-in-ability!
In any case, now that I see that the location of the apartment is within a block of where we stayed (Arco del Lauro), I say go for it, kittycatangel! |
You guys are great! It's always scary booking an apartment, so the only thing we can count on are reviews by others.

From our Zoom-ing in of the map, it looks like the address is somewhere between
16 Via Montefiore 5 Via Montefiore |
kittycat, the location looks great, and the apartment looks really sweet. I hope you'll post your own review!
