Rome apartment rental
 

My brother and I will be in Capri for a week with our wives and plan on following it up with 4 nights in Rome. Can anyone suggest any specific apartment rentals in or around Rome? We'd need 2 bedrooms.

Our preference would be a apartment that is centrally located, with easy access to public transportation.

Alternately, we'd consider something on the outskirts (coast would be OK) with quick access via train into the city.

BTW, we are considering several VRBO apartments. But, there's nothing like 1st hand experience.

Havne't actually stayed in the properties in Rome, but I think highly of www.domani-usa.com (and I have stayed in obne of their lisyed properties once, and I have seen one other one, for an afternoon "lunch")... and I think they have two, in Rome.

And they may have others from time to time, not listed on their website - - I'd recommend calling the owner, Larry Haase in person. Friendly and helpful.

You are in luck. Palazzo Olivia which a number of us here have stayed at and loved accepts a 4 night minimum (many apartments are by the week only).
It is between Piazza Navona and Campo Fiori, you couldn't beat the location, and a bus from Termini stops just a couple steps from the apartments.

Rex, I didn't see any rentals for 4 nights, but I may call anyway.

Patrick, looks great. Nice location. 2 quick questions. Is that 2nd bedroom as small as it looks? and are the apts air conditioned? We'll be ther in early July.

We had a one bedroom. That second bedroom does look small though. Maybe another poster can tell us??
No air conditioning. Don't panic. We were there the end of June and it was HOT that week, but when we entered that building we assumed it was Air conditioned, it felt so cool in the hallways. Old building, very thick walls. The apartments weren't "cool" but not very hot either. We opened the windows, but generally closed them as it seemed it was cooler without the warmer air coming in. There was a big floor fan, but we only used it to help dry clothes (there's a washer in the apartment but no dryer, just a drying rack). The manager said the top floor IS hot without air, but the others are actually fine.

Patrick, thanks for the recommendation. It does look great. I'm still concerned about that 2nd bedroom. I hope some other posters read this and weigh in.
