Rome Apartment Feedback

Can anyone give me feedback on these two apartments - especially on location. We are two adults and a teenage girl and this is our first time to Rome.

The first one "Angelina" is described as being in the Spanish Steps area across from Sant 'Andrea delle Fratte church - it's hard to tell from the map although it seems to be in between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain.

The second one, "Fontana" is in the Jewish Ghetto area near Fontana d. Tartarugha - few blocks from Camp de Fiori.

The second one is obviously larger and more expensive and would consider it if the location warranted it.

Any and all input would be appreciated (and yes, I have checked slowtrav and didn't find anything).

Thanks so much.

Anyone???

I would definitely prefer the location of the 2nd one. My husband and I rented an apt. just 5 min walk from Campo dei Fiori and loved it. Here's where we stayed:

Yes, the second, definitely (quality of the apartments aside, I'm talking about locations only). The first is between Piazza di Spagna and Fontana di Trevi, yes exactly. Both are overrun places cramped with tourists; the neighbourhood in between is certainly less touristy (most people don't seem to walk from Trevi to Spagna), but the very street where that apartment seems to be located has a lot of traffic, as well, and it's not overly charming.
The 2nd apartment, on the other hand, is in one of Rome's most beautiful, and most quiet neighbourhoods, the Tartarughe fountain is one of Rome's nicest (I love it), PLUS the location is far more central and more convenient.

Cem,

Vote number three for the "Fontana" apartment location.

Thanks for your input - it looks like Fontana is the clear winner. Has anyone actually stayed in this apartment?

You shoule go to www.slowtrav,com and look at the apartment reviews. It's the only place I know of to get that information easily. You can also see the reviews on the the rental company as well.
