Thinking about an apartment that is located on the Piazza San Salvatore in Lauro. Anyone familiar with this area? Is it a good location for walking to all the sites? Thank you.

Excellent location in the heart of the historic centre.

Would it be convenient for catching a bus to get around?

You would hardly need to take a bus; almost anything you would want to see in Rome is within walking distance.

But the piazza is close to the Corso Vittorio Emanuele, which has a great number of bus lines, including the infamous 64 (pickpocket alert!) to the Vatican.
