I have been looking online and have found a website called www.sleepinitaly.com. Has anyone used them? What about bed and breakfast for my husband and self, adult daughter and 9 year old and 13 year old granddaughters. Its midJuly, must have airconditioning and elevator if it is more than one flight up.
Also, midprice restaurant recommendations for family would be appreciated.

Well, I booked with www.sleepinitaly.com
and I have high hopes. Now I have reserved a limoservice from Civitavecchia dock to the apartment near Campo di Fiori, and a taxi 3 days later to FCO. Lots of adventure. Lots of help on this Forum. American Express Platinum has been no where as much help as you guys!!!

twopea,
Which apartment did you book, and will you please post when you return letting people know what you thought of it?
Thank you very much. Enjoy your time in Rome. Also, I'm available for adoption if you have any more lavish vacations planned.

Try this. I just booked it for October. Very good reviews on Slow Travel and Trip Advisor. Quiet section too. http://www.dolceroma.it/colosseum2.htm
