Rome and Amalfi Coast-June or September?
 

Looking for help choosing between two dates for a long awaited family trip to Rome and the Amalfi Coast. Traveling in 2013, we are deciding between last week of June or mid-September to accomodate grown children and their work schedules.
My husband and I have traveled many times to Rome off season and the Amalfo Coast in early May. We have been spoiled by lack of crowds particularly down on the coast.
Must purchase airline tickets soon so looking for advice between two dates. This is my first post, so apologize for wordiness.

I would prefer the Sep dates. Late June is hot.

Better weather and probably less crowded in Sptember, I would think.

Is it early or late June and Sept. I would pick early June over early Sept - but end Sept over either.
