When to go..mid May or mid September?
|
Hi
The weather is usually moderate in those months, but who knows what next year will bring! I've been to both places, in those months, in the past few years, and had mostly "kind" weather. Just go, and plan for cool or damp days, along with the better stuff! |
Beautiful days for both, probably coolish evenings when you'll need jackets/sweaters. Actually, early September is still considered summer, and people are swimming, mid-month there can be a change and it cools down and equals May weather. You just can't go wrong with a trip to Italy.
Enjoy! |
May--the flowers !

Hi sky-dog,
either would be great, IMO. we went to Rome in April and sat outside to eat some nights; to Florence in October and sat outside to eat every evening and we are by no means people who have to eat ourside at every opportunity. on the whole, for the last few years the weather in europe has been more reliable in autumn than in spring, but the days are slightly shorter. good luck, regards, ann |
Go in May. the days will be longer and everything will be fresher - not worn down by the hot sumer and gazillions of tourists.
