rome airport transportation

i am flying into FCO and was considering using a shuttle service to get to my hotel near the spanish steps. would you tell me which shuttle service is the most reliable? my hotel offered to arrange a car for 58E but i really do not want to spend that much money. i would rather save it for food. LOL but i do not want to deal with a train. i thought the shuttle would be a good compromise. thank you!!

We have an early flight out of Rome and are using Roma Shuttle (www.romashuttle.com) For up to 2 people into Rome is it 40 euros, from Rome to the airport is 30 euros.

They pick you up and drop you off at your hotel, you just fill out a form on the website and they email you a confirmation. They have been recommended on fodors (which is how I found out about them).

That's as cheap as it's going to get. But to me, it's absolutely worth it to avoid the train and bus/taxi routine.

I am using Rome Cabs and paying 45 euro into the city and 50 euros out (for three people). They have been very responsive and helpful by email and I even booked a day trip with them. They came highly recommended here on Fodors Travel Talk.

Why not take the train from FCO to the Termini and pick up a cab there?
