Rome airport to Termini
 

How long does it take and how much is it to take the train from the Rome airport to Termini? Or, can someone recommend a reasonable shuttle service from the airport to a hotel near the Vatican? Thanks!

We arranged for a car through Sleep-in-Italy to pick us up at the airport and take us to our rental apartment in Trastevere. It cost 48 Euro, there were 3 of us, and luggage. After a long flight, it was great to have someone waiting for you holding up a sign with your name on it. Our plane arrived at 6:00, and we were at the apartment at 7:30.

After you collect your bags and walk to the train station, buy your ticket(s) and the train departs, it takes 30 minutes. It cost 9,50 euro. A taxi from Termini to your hotel will cost about 9,00 euro also. If there are 2 or more it might well be worth it to take a taxi but please be sure to ONLY take one from the formal taxi queue. Don't go with anyone who tries to grab you inside the terminal.
