Rome airport hotel

We will need to spend the night at a hotel closest to the Rome FCO airport because of our morning flight. I prefer to drop off my rental car the night before the flight to avoid any complications. Is the Hilton adjacent to the airport? Could I walk from the car rental office to the hotel. I even would like to avoid a hotel with an airport shuttle if possible. In the past we were staying in Rome and had a driver take us to the airport but on this trip we will not be visiting Rome so that's why we need an airport hotel. Thanks

Yes, there is a Hilton adjacent to the airport--you can walk to the terminal--and there is also now another Hilton property in the vicinity with a shuttle service so be mindful when booking.

You want the Hilton---not the Hilton Garden Inn which is a shuttle hotel.

Except that the Hilton Garden Inn is much cheaper than the Hilton. I have had good experience twice at the Hilton Garden Inn. Don't exclude it just because you need a short shuttle ride to get to the airport for your morning flight. You just need to make sure to order the time for your shuttle when you get to the hotel the night or afternoon before.

Many of the hotels near the airport have shuttle service that doesn't start until too late for early departures. The Hilton Garden Inn shuttle starts at 6:00 a.m.
