ROME 4 hr car tour at Xmas

I have my choice of touring with car/guide for 4 hrs 12/24 or 12/26 for overview of Rome. My husband is against the 24th date as he thinks streets will be packed with Xmas Eve shoppers etc. running out at last minute buying gifts as he does here in Florida. Keep telling him I DOUBT this will be the case and NO big difference between the dates..opinion???

So, you would have a car/guide for a tour of Rome for 4 hours--is this the proposal? In Rome? I'm not going to answer your specific question (because I don't know), but I will comment that having a car tour of Rome is just...well, I can't imagine. You'll miss so much of the ambiance and the experience. You need to walk and take the buses and linger here and there.

The 24th will not be hectic like here in the US. I also would not do a 4hr car tour of Rome.

Thank you will book the 24th - I'm simply doing a 4 hr car tour so my grands will "see", albeit from a van with stops, all the major sights with my husband incase he is not up to long walking excursions every day - I have walked miles a day in Rome so understand what you are saying -
