RomaPiu pass; using to orvieto
 

I am looking into getting a Roma pass and notice that they also have a Romapiu pass which seems to include more transportation. They say that they include regional trenitalia. We are planning a day trip to Orvieto and wonder if this would be considered a regional trip? Anyone have any info on that?

The Roma & Piu pass is good for the province of Rome in the region of Lazio. Orvieto is in the region of Umbria. So no, the Roma & Piu pass will not include the train to Orvieto.

It will get you close though. Your pass is good for Rome to Orte which is one stop from Orvieto on some trains and a couple of stops on other trains. You could probably train to Orte and then get a ticket on a cheap R train the rest of the way.

I repeat, the Roma & Piu pass includes travel *in the province of Rome.* Orte is in the province of Viterbo, as is Viterbo, obviously.

Cerveteri and Tivoli are in the province of Rome.

Roma Pass Transport

Free admission to ATAC urban buses and trans, Underground lines A and B, Met.Ro trains: Roma - Lido, Roma - Viterbo (in the Roma - Sacrofano section), Roma - Pantano railways lines.
How to use it:

It comes only with Roma Pass;
It is validated on the first trip by filling out the overleaf form with your name, surname and validation date;
It must be produced on public transport along with Roma Pass and your identity papers when required by the staff in charge;
It expires at midnight of the third day, from the first day of validation inclusive.

That is for the RomaPass; this is for the Roma&Piu pass.

Roma&Più Pass Transport
Free admissionto ATAC urban buses and trans, Underground lines A and B, Met.Ro trains, extra-urban coaches Cotral and regional railways Trenitalia - 2nd class (except special connections, Leonardo Express and local urban services though carried out by Cotral).
How to use it:
It comes only with Roma&Più Pass;
it's valid in <b>three zones</b>, for an unlimited number of trips;
It is validated on the first trip by filling out the overleaf form with your name, surname, validation date and code of validity zone (<b>zona A to zone B</b>);
It must be produced on public transport along with Roma&amp;Pi&ugrave; Pass and your identity papers when required by the staff in charge;
It expires at midnight of the third day, from the first day of validation inclusive.

Zona A counts as two zones; Zona B is one zone.

How much more is this pass over the regular Roma Pass? Thanks.
