romantic yet affordable hotel in paris?
my boyfriend and i will be travelling in europe this septemeber, and ending our vacation in paris. we are staying in a sparse, cheap budget hotel there for the first six nights, but wanted to splurge a bit for the last two.
does anyone have any recommendations for a moderately-priced hotel in paris for between $100-$150 dollars,(we're students) that is a little bit more romantic and luxurious than usual?? we want to make our last nights abroad special! thanks! zoe |

Take a peak... rates 110-145 euro. We had a sweet double overlooking St Mich Blvd (near the Sorbonne in the Latin Quarter). |
I think the Hotel du Lys, rue Serpente in the 6th, has a lot of charm, if not luxury, for being a 2 star hotel.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel des Grandes Ecoles last year - right in the middle of the Latin Quarter. Would recommend it highly. Check it out! |

Just my 2cents here, but a co-worker was talking with me about our favorite hotels in Paris. He does a lot of business traveling and often uses his Marriott, Hilton or Starwood points to stay in fairly posh places on vacation. However he says he and his wife still think the "cheap" little 2star hotel they stayed in as graduate students on their very first trip to Paris over 20 years ago is the epitome to them of a romantic place to stay.
While they may now stay elsewhere, they still like to drop in for breakfast just to evoke fond memories. |
Try these:
