Romantic Weekend in Paris
I am planning to take my boyfriend on a romantic weekend to Paris this spring. However, since I have never been to Paris I would like some suggestions on nice, but reasonable priced hotels, good resturants and some romantic things to in Paris. Thinking of going in May, is that a good time to go or will it be very crowded then?
Cheers
Nina.

May is a lovely time to visit Paris. As for hotels and restaurants, so I won't have to re-type, please see my personal travel page for that information. http://www.sites.netscape.net/monicapileggi/homepage

Spring should be wonderful. I have two suggestions. First..the hotel.
Stay at the SEVRES-AZUR -22, rue l'Abbé Grégoire; 75006 PARIS. Insist on the room facing the front street with the balcony. There are some great neighborhood shops..the location is great and it is very reasonable.
Everything you do in Paris will be romantic, but if you really want a great evening, book a dinner trip with Bateaux Parisenne. The food is wonderful and includes several wines with the meal. The river cruise is spectactular. Be sure it's the one with live music and dancing. We celebrated Judy's birthday and our anniversary. I let them know when we booked the cruise and they had a special cake for her and played "our song". Don't pass this up.
Have a wonderful time. E-mail us if you have any questions.

Let me recommend Bersoly's St-Germain, 28 rue de lille 7eme. About $120 a night. Ask for the renoir room... it's in blue... it might haver a shower rather than a full bath, but when I peeked in it look charming... see my recent post on my trip to Paris for more details... Web address is: http://www.france-hotel-guide.com/h7...7bersolys2.htm
Feel free to email me...
If price were no object my choice would be Pavillon de la Reine just off Place des Vosges... ahhh well
