Romantic Road vs Fairy Tale Road : GERMANY

We are planning to go to Germany this Summer but cannot decide whether we should explore the villages along the Romantic Road or along the Fairy Tale Road. Any advice is very welcome.

Germany is big on "roads" that essentially are marketing concepts devised by towns and enterprises eager to attract your travel dollar. There's the Castle Road, the Beer Road, the Crystal Road, the German Clock Road and the Fachwerk Road as well, and perhaps several more.

Don't feel compelled to see every town on those "roads" or to confine your travels just to the towns those roads connect. If you do that on the Romantic Road, you'll miss amazing places like Bamberg, the Vierzehnheiligen Basilica near Staffelstein, Nuremberg, Bad Windsheim and its open-air museum, and pretty Eichstätt on your north-south journey. The same applies to the other roads as well.
