Romantic Restaurants Paris

I am traveling to Paris for Valentines Weekend with my girlfriend and looking for a good place to go for dinner. I need a romantic restaurant with great food for valentines day and am looking to spend no more than the 3 euro rating (€€€). Any suggestions? Thanks

Ian

Sorry, but a 3 euro rating is new to me. I have heard of restaurants rated with stars though.

I think I've seen hotels or restaurants with euro ratings here and there, probably part of some guidebook's own system. I imagine a 3 euro rating is in the expensive category, but it would be better if you just state your top budget level in actual euro amount.

I don't know anything about the rating, but I love Le Grand Cafe by the Opera Gardiner at 4 blvd. des Capucines. The food is delicious and they cook at your table. It's all stained glass--even the ceilings...make sure to check out the restrooms...and it's very reasonably priced (I think it was around 70 Euros for everything.)

Le Violon d'Ingres would be a lovely place for a Valentine's meal. So would Les Ambassadeurs.

Three star Le Grand Vefour in the Palais Royale would be another lovely, romantic spot for Valentine's dinner. Not inexpensive, natch. Check them out on Google.

Hi
I am a big fan of le Violon d'Ingres, and Les Ambass. and Le Grand Vefour are among the very very top.

Down a couple of notches in price and decor is Chez Julien, right next to l'Hotel de Ville. Charming, simple decor (lace curtains on the windows, etc), very good food, family-owned.
I haven't been in a couple of years, but nowadays I'd guess 60-80 euro per person, depends on your wine order. They have a prix fixe menu that limits choices but keeps the price down.
