romantic restaurants in Paris

Hello,
My husband and I are spending a couple of days in Paris to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I am looking for a couple of cosy little restaurants to enjoy a romantic dinner with my husband. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Pauline

Well, there are thousands that fit the description, but here's one I particularly like: La Guirlande de Julie, 25 place des Vosges.

Pauline & Peter,

I don't know what your price range is but if money is no object (or a minor one at best) I recommend Michel Rostang. Wonderful ambience, perfect service and exquisite Haute Cuisine (oh-my-God!).

It's a Michelin two-star and one of our favorite places.

Bon apetit!

Strive

Pauline,
Living in Paris we have been to quite a few- the wonderful Michel Rostang included. Recently we dined at Lasserre, 17 av. Franklin D. Roosevelt in the 8e.The food is sublime, very French and the service was attentive and informative. The restaurant itself is truly magnificent, a feast for the eyes, including the retracting roof which opened for your dining pleasure. A memorable experience indeed.
Another wonderful restaurant, particularily if you enjoy dining in a garden is Laurent, 41 av.Gabriel in the 8e. Set in the champs-Elysees gardens the fabulous French food and great wine list make for truly romantic evening. I hope that you enjoy Paris.

When it comes to romantic restaurants (and hotels) I always say they supply the food or the room - you supply the romance. A picnic can be very romantic. Anyway, what do you want to spend? Do you want top drawer places? For more Paris information e-mail me: [email protected]
