Romantic hotels in the Algarve
 

We are going to Portugal on our honeymoon in June 2006. The first week we'll see Lisbon/Obidos/Sintra/Cascais, and then we're planning to relax at a resort in the Algarve. Any hotel recommendations?

This is more of an international, anywhere in the world kind of place, but if pampering and relaxing is what's on the agenda, this would fit the bill. If you could give a better idea of what kind of place you're looking for (small, historic, glitzy, etc), we could come up with better suggestions. And congratulations on your marriage.

We just returned a few weeks ago from the Algarve. I absolutely would recommend The Sheraton Algarve (check their website for deals - just keep scrolling til you find one - my trip report is under "Portugal trip report - newcomer" with all the details). It was fabulous in every respect.

we are looking for something romantic with great views and a pool. Also, we want access to a beach. Something more secluded and private, peaceful would be great. Thanks for advice!
