Romantic Getaway in Europe

I want to surprise my wife for our 10 year anniversary by booking a romantic weekend away in a few months, got a few ideas from here,

But would appreciate some advice, want to make it really special.

Well Venice is unique and I would score it over any of the others. Even tramping the street is exciting. Loads of threads here about Venice if you want to go.

In Morocco, much as I like Fez I'd go to Marakesh and book into one of the international hamma for a day of scrubbing, go to the main square for a meal and walk the souks as well as visit ancient palaces (well 1850 to 1000 AD so not that ancient)

Kyoto, not bad but unless you are ready for the culture shock then...
Barcelona is fun but then so is central Madrid

Paris should be in then, the smell, the sight of the Seine, the bridges aah.

Florence is ok but you have to me an art buff to really get the best out of it.

in a few months it will be early winter, so maybe you need snow..
