Romania, what is the allure?

Budapest has the spas, Prague has Charles Bridge, what is alluring about Romania?

Thank you,

That's a fairly naive question.

Off the top of my head:

Beautiful Orthodox churches
Castles
Ancient Monasteries
Casino Constanta
Beautiful landscape
Beaches
Transfagarasan Road
And, HELLO, Transylvania

For me the castles, the painted churches, the lack of artifical nutrients in the soil (the can't afford them), the quiet country, the history, the horses, the wine, the tonnes of EU money and the Hungarians (mainly in Transylvania).

On the downside, the corruption, the racial issues, the occasional dog packs, some of the accomodation.

Also, back-in-time Maramures. And some good scenery. But is this really a serious question?

I'm not sure the Charles Bridge is a reason to visit Prague.

Thank you so much for your replies, while Charles Bridge is not a reason to visit Prague I am looking forward to returning one day and doing an early morning run over the bridge and thru the area.
