Romania: Visa and Schengen

Jump to last reply

Hi I'm from Australia! I have many a question about the Schengen. I am currently travelling through Europe and am about to Volunteer in Romania. Now I thought I would be fine coming into Romania as it wasn't apart of the Schengen agreement but on closer inspection it doesn't seem to be the case. I have tried looking on countless websites but I can't find a solution. SO! Could someone please help me out? I entered Denmark on the 16/2/2016 and I am leaving Hungry to Romania (VIA BUS) on 14/03/2016. So this will result in 89 days spent on the Schengen visa. Now can I enter Romania or will I be kicked out. I don't want to over stay the 90 days and would rather go home then face prosecution as an illegal alien. So it would be great to gain some insight. thanks!
