Romance novels set in Paris?

I'd like to read one during my upcoming trip. Any recommendations?

Thanks

Not a romance, but I'm currently reading one of the Arsene Lupin stories and enjoy the references to Parisian streets and sites.

I grew up readig all of Françoise Sagan's books-all bitter sweet romances that take place between Paris and the Cote d'Azur.

Not a novel, but I thoroughly enjoyed Sandra Gulland's trilogy based on the life of Josephine. Written in journal form, well researched, and including a lot of authentic correspondence, these books are amazing, along with the long list of well known people with whom Josephine crossed paths.

I read them ahead of a trip to Paris that would include a visit to Malmaison and Josephine's grave hearby. A wonderful experience!

Also excellent is Evelyne Lever's biography of Marie Antoinette. It's quite the experience to visit Versailles, including the hameau and gardens, then visit the cell and "garden" at the Conciergerie.

I second Underhill. For Romance novels set in France "Angelique" can't be beat. Plus it is all historically accurate!

"Angelique" is still available through on-line used book sellers (thank goodness!)
