Roman Christmas

Hi everybody, we're going to be in Rome over Christmas and New Years from the 20th to the 5th. We have tickets to midnight mass at St. Peter's and tickets to an audience with the pope, but I'm having trouble finding any other events during that period.

Does anybody know where I can find an event calandar or have any experiences in Rome over Christmas?

These websites might help:

What kind of event are you looking for?

There are pages and pages of them listed here:
http://www.roninrome.com/%20living-i...events-in-rome

And there are more here (in Italian) with separate pages on shopping, exhibitions (mostre), nativity scenes (presepi) and events for children (bambini):

(You can use Google translate to get an English version.)

I doubt that there are many cities that offer as much over Christmas.

Just when I thought I had my entire trip planned, you guys had to come up with all this extra information. Back to the drawing board. Watch out hayestrip, we're getting there a few days before you, and we have been known to drink all the vino before!

The official tourism website for Rome lists events.

Thanks everybody! I don't know why it's so hard to find events in Rome. Have any of you been in Rome over Christmas?
