Roma Pass Urgent Question
 

My daughter and I leave Monday morning for Rome! We plan to buy the Rome Pass for our 3 day visit when we arrive at the airport. On the website it says it can be bought at terminal C. Can anyone tell us exactly where we should go to buy it? We will be arriving on a Northwest flight from Amsterdam. I expect it may be difficult to find someone to help us who can speak English. We'd like to use it right away by using the subway to get to the Pensione Paradise.

The subway or "metro" doesn't go out to the airport. You need to take the Leonardo Express which the Roma Pass doesn't cover, to Termini and take the metro from there.

You can also buy the pass at the Roma Termini which is where you will arrive on the Leonardo Express. It says it's near Binario (track) 24. Easy to find. The other place you can get the pass in the Termini is in the front, but it would be easier to go the area near track 24. You won't have a problem speaking English to people there.

Hello there! My husband and I just returned from Rome on Thursday, and we did indeed take the Leonardo express from Fiumicino to Roma Terminii, but the current price is 11 euros.

There is a tourist information office (ufficio turismo) after the baggage claim, on the way to the railway station, who is attended by an english-fluent person who can give you information on the Roma pass. I was going to buy the Roma pass for myself and my husband, but as it turned out the week we were there, all the museums were free due to "cultural heritage week". The attendant advised us the Roma pass wasn't necessary.
